From childhood I have a great interest in agriculture. Agriculture is practical and direct.

When I saw that, I automatically came to biological and biodynamic.
The use of poison or artificial fertilizers does not fit when you see that everything is connected.
All my life I work for biodynamic organisations and with the Demeter brand.
At Demeter farms I milked cows, participated in arable farming and worked as a volunteer in horticulture.
Furthermore, I have done purchasing and made cost price calculations for a biodynamic natural food wholesaler
and have been a partner at a biodynamic restaurant.
After that, I was self-employed for 8 years.
Import and sale of natural products (probiotics) for application in agriculture.
With this basis in practice, I have been active in the Demeter certification for more than 20 years.
In the Netherlands, in Germany and as an auditor in Great Britain and in the Netherlands.
During a period of 12 years I have been a member of the Accreditation Council of Demeter International.
There, I learned to look at quality systems from a helicopter view.
I am working as an independent consultant since 2018.
The most important thing for me is working from ideals.
I see the biggest challenge in clear and simple processes.
Processes that support the realisation of these ideals and give room for further development.
